DOI and Crossref

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

A DOI is a unique identifier for a digital document. The DOI system was created by the International DOI Foundation (IDF) and adopted as international standard ISO 26324, a not-for-profit membership organization. DOIs are most important in academic citation with the permanent URL of the published paper. DOIs are widely used to identify academic journal articles, government datums, such as journal articles, research reports, data sets, and official publications.

By default, IARJSET is assigning a DOI to each published article, and as per the author’s request, we are registering their article doi with Crossref registration agency of International DOI Foundation. IARJSET journal DOI prefix is 10.17148.

Citing an article using a DOI link

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) can be used to cite and link to an electronic article. Whereas a DOI is guaranteed to never change, it can be used as a permanent identifier to link to an electronic article independent of where it is stored. The following is an example of a DOI citation:

  • Felicidad A. Dy Kam,The Relationship of Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance of Selected Financial Institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. International Advanced Research Journal in Science, Engineering and Technology (IARJSET), Vol.1, Issue 1, January 2015, page 1-13. doi 10.17148/IARJSET.2015.2101

Crossref

Crossref is an official digital object identifier Registration Agency (RA) of International DOI Foundation. Crossref is a not-for-profit membership organization; providing robust, accurate metadata helps make your content more discoverable. The main benefit of Crossref and DOIs is making your content easy to find, cite, link, assess and reuse. Crossref is a collaborative reference linking service as well “Citation linking backbone” of the scholarly publishers in electronic form.

IARJSET is a member of Crossref and the respective DOI prefix is 10.17148. We are assigning a DOI to each published article, and as per author’s request, we are registering their article doi with Crossref registration agency of International DOI Foundation.
