Abstract: As the city of Mumbai is undergoing tremendous infrastructural development and Mumbai Metro is going to be an iconic project being undertaken by the government. We intend to work on studying some important aspects of Construction Management such as Studying Project Management System, Risk and Value Analysis. Further we also intend to do a risk assessment and measures taken for risk mitigation of Mumbai metro and also the cost assessment and overheads caused due to delays and the measures taken to minimize the impact of such delays so that project is completed on scheduled time. As the project is under construction right now there would have been many such delays and steps would already have been taken to mitigate the impact of such delays caused due to unforeseen factors like rains. Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Mumbai Maharashtra. The system is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city, and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai suburban Railway network. It is being built in three phases over a 15-year period, with overall completion expected in2021. When completed, the core system will comprise eight high-capacity metro railway lines, spanning a total of 200 kilometers (120 mi) (20% underground, the rest elevated, with a minuscule portion built at-grade), and serviced by 169 stations.
