RECEPTION OF POLITICAL MEMES: SHAPING VIEWS AMONG YOUTH

Abstract: This research paper investigates the reception and influence of political memes among the youth demographic. Recognizing the role of political memes as a potent tool for political discourse in the digital age, this study aims to understand how these memes shape the political views and participation of young people. The research methodology includes quantitative and quantitative methods, such as surveys to gauge the extent of meme consumption and its correlation with political awareness .The study also addresses the potential for misinformation spread through political memes, emphasizing the need for digital literacy among young internet users. The findings are expected to provide valuable insights into the transformative role of political memes in youth political engagement and discourse in the digital era. Reception theory can be used as theoretical framework for the study.
