AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM FOR HIGH SECURITY REGISTRATION PLATES USING MORPHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS, CCA AND LVQ NEURAL NETWORKS
Abstract: Traffic management and security issues have been a growing concern over the past years. License plate recognition technology has been growing in use and has been implemented in various ways. Vehicle identification, automatic collection of toll, theft prevention are some of the applications of license plate recognition technology. With the introduction of high security license plates various new security features have been introduced. We present an integrated method for localization and detection of high security license plates using morphological operations, CCA, and LVQ Neural Networks.
