Financial Performance of Housing Finance Companies in India – A Study of Select Companies

Abstract: Housing plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the Indian economy. The main objective of the study is to evaluate and compare the stability of housing finance companies in the current financial performance with future scenarios by using ratio analysis and this study is based on secondary data. The collected data has been analyzed efficiency, liquidity, revenues, and profitability ratio. Five housing finance companies were selected as a sample for the study. The period selected for the study from 2010 to 2020 period. The study concludes that according to the overall ranking of ratio analysis the HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited) and HUDCO (Housing Urban Development Corporation Ltd) are the best housing finance companies in India.
