DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11601
Abstract: Incorporating a variety of rice flours in tart-making introduces a delightful twist to traditional recipes, adding both diversity and nutritional benefits to the culinary experience. This study aimed to develop organic rice tart crust with Bilimbi jam filling, using three different types of rice: red, black, and brown. The sensory qualities of the tart, including appearance, aroma, taste, and texture, were evaluated in three trials by semi-trained panelists who were Food Technology teachers at Capiz State University. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), using three treatments in three trials. All three types of tarts were well-accepted, but the brown rice tart received the highest acceptability overall. Despite the differences in rice type, there were no significant differences in the sensory qualities among the three types of tart. However, there was a significant difference in consumer acceptability across the three types, with the brown rice tart being the most favored. In terms of shelf-life, the tarts made from brown rice lasted the longest at room temperature, remaining fresh for up to 20 days. When stored at chilling temperatures, the shelf-life of all types of tart extended significantly, with brown rice tart lasting up to 28 days. The study also confirmed the safety of the tart for human consumption based on microbial analysis, adhering to the BFAD standard for microorganism testing for baked goods. This study contributes to the development of diverse organic rice products, offering potential benefits for both consumers and producers.

A Fast Synthesis of Unsaturated Azlactones Using Condensation Between Saturated Azlactones and Schiff Bases and Their Subsequent Aminolysis
Writtika Gogoi and Pradeep K. Tripathy
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11603
Abstract: Synthetic work related to penicillin has led to a considerable advance in the Chemistry of oxazoles and oxazolones. New general methods have been devised for constructing the ring, and much light has been thrown on the behaviour of functional groups attached to an oxazole nucleus. Most of the oxazolones previously described were of the type II, obtainable by the Erlenmeyer Synthesis from acylglycines and aldehydes from the action of acetic anhydride on α-acylamino acids. The acetic anhydride method of preparing oxazolones has remained the most general procedure. The objective of the present investigation was to develop a method for fast synthesis of unsaturated azlactones using condensation between saturated azlactones and Schiff bases and their subsequent aminolysis by using green chemistry technique which led to better yield and remarkable reaction rate enhancement with optimum utilization of energy. The present investigation is carried out with three sequential objectives: (a) Preparation of Schiff Bases (b) Synthesis of 4- Arylmethylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones (i.e. Unsaturated azlactones) and (c) Aminolysis of 4- Arylmethylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones in presence of glacial acetic acid. 2-Phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-one (2), i.e. saturated azlactone was generated by cyclizing hippuric acid (1) with p-toluenesulphonyl chloride (Tosyl Chloride) in the presence of triethylamine base in dry benzene at room temperature which declines the risk of high pressure development associated with solution phase reaction. The resultant intermediate (2) which is saturated azlactone, was condensed with different aromatic imines (3) under mild conditions and subsequent removal of solvent under reduced pressure to get the targeted product 4-arylmethylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones (4), i.e. unsaturated azlactones in appreciable yields with sufficient purity. If refluxing is continued by adding little glacial acetic acid in the same flask for further 10 minutes, the anilinolysis of the 1,5-bond of 4-arylmethylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones (4), i.e. unsaturated azlactones, yielded the product N-phenyl-2-benzoylamino-3-arylpropenamides (5). It is noteworthy that the reaction is completed within maximum of 30 minutes and all the steps can be carried out in one flask.

AUTOMATIC CAR WIPER SENSOR USING IOT
Dr.A.R Jayasudha, Shirin Fathima M
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11604
Abstract: The automatic wiper system is used to detect rain and activate the car's automatic wipers without requiring driver interaction. This system was developed to reduce distractions while driving and allow drivers to focus on their primary task: driving. The distraction eliminated when developing this product was adjusting the windshield wipers manually when driving in peak weather. Just a few seconds of a driver not paying attention to the road surface to adjust the gear lever while driving in bad weather conditions can lead to a car accident. The system uses a combination of impedance and rain sensors to detect rain and its intensity. The system contains a controller that takes input signals from the sensors and controls the operation of the wipers based on these input signals. The purpose of this project is to help reduce accidents caused by drivers attempting to clean their windshields. When it rains, distracting the driver from the road when turning the windshield wipers on and off. On rainy days, we have to endure water splashing onto the car's front windshield. While driving a car, the driver cannot see road traffic. So he tries to operate the window wipers, because of this he has to frequently turn the wipers on and as a result this can cause a vehicle accident. If we apply any kind of sensor on the glass to detect watering activity, the wipers will automatically work through automation. When water touches the sensor, it sends a signal to the system, thereby causing the wiper motor to move. When the sensor detects there is no water, the wipers will stop. This will reduce the weaknesses mentioned in the beginning. An additional plan of this invention is to make the windshield wipers automatically rise from the windshield when the engine is stopped.

QR CODE BASED GROCERY BILLING WITH EXPIRYALERT SYSTEM
Dr. A.R. JAYASUDHA, LIKITH.P
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11606
Abstract: The drawbacks in the existing system are, firstly the time required for bill payment is more as the users have to wait in a long queue. Secondly, the users have to move the cart through the entire mall and carry a load of products at their home. One more drawback is regarding the barcode in which less data is stored. An inventive way to improve convenience and efficiency for consumers and retailers alike is the QR Code-Based Grocery Products Purchasing and paying System, which simplifies the grocery purchasing and paying process. This technology makes use of Quick Response (QR) codes to provide a frictionless and smooth purchasing experience. When grocery shopping, the process usually entails picking out things by hand, putting them in a cart, and then going to the checkout counter where a cashier scans each item by hand and creates a bill. This process can take some time to finish, especially during busy periods. Our system enables QR codes to be added to every grocery item in order to get over these challenges. This eliminates the need for a physical checkout by enabling customers to use their smartphones to scan and purchase goods. The data is sent to the server after the user scans and adds the item to the cart, and the bill is created once all the goods have been added. The items are delivered to the user's house, the bill is emailed to his device, and bill payment is completed online. The goal of this project is to create an alarm system that alerts managers and store owners when inventories or items are about to.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11608
Abstract: The paper presents a real-time face recognition system leveraging OpenCV, a powerful open-source computer vision library. The system aims to identify and verify individuals in real-time, utilizing modern advancements in machine learning and image processing. The architecture of the proposed system encompasses three primary stages: face detection, feature extraction, and face recognition. In the face detection stage, we employ the Haar Cascade Classifier for its robustness and efficiency in identifying facial regions within the video frames. Once faces are detected, the system proceeds to the feature extraction phase, where facial landmarks and distinctive features are extracted using Local Binary Patterns Histograms (LBPH). This method ensures high accuracy and resilience to variations in lighting and facial expressions. The face recognition stage utilizes a trained machine learning model to compare the extracted features against a pre-established database of known faces. For this purpose, we employ OpenCV's LBPH Face Recognizer, which is known for its balance between performance and computational efficiency, making it suitable for real-time applications. Extensive testing of the system demonstrates its capability to accurately recognize faces in diverse environments, maintaining a high recognition rate while operating at real-time speeds. The system's flexibility allows for integration into various applications such as security systems, access control, and human-computer interaction. The real-time face recognition system, powered by OpenCV, offers a practical and efficient solution for facial identification tasks, demonstrating significant potential for deployment in a wide range of real-world applications.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11615
Abstract: This project is entitled as "AN INTELLIGENT PRISON ESCAPE DETECTION SYSTEM USING IOT AND RF TECHNOLOGY" and is an IOT-based application. The fact that such a number of inmates may still be roaming among us is itself scary. Well, so here we propose a prisoner tracking system that helps detect prison breaks and instantly alert authorities using IOT. The system makes use of a microcontroller-based circuit to achieve the task using RF technology. We make use of RF trackers on each inmate to detect their presence on the premises. The second central monitoring units are used to scan through all inmates as per data fed to it and constantly keep track of each prisoner. Each prisoner is mounted with an RF tracker transmitting a unique prisoner code wirelessly. Whenever a prisoner exits the facility, the centralized system is unable to receive his/her code. At that time the receiver circuitry instructs the controller to take action against the particular prisoner. The System now transmits the prisoner's details over to the officers alerting portal to send out an instant alert and catch the prisoner before he runs even 50 meters away from the facility. Here we use IOT Gecko to develop the online alerting portal system to receive input from monitoring devices and display alerts and sound alarms through the internet.

Abstract: Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced in India on July 1, 2017, with the promise of simplifying the complex indirect tax system and fostering economic growth. Since its inception, the Indian government has made several amendments to the GST framework, aiming to address challenges, improve compliance, and create a more efficient taxation system. This comprehensive study delves into these GST amendments and assesses their impact on India's economy, businesses, and tax administration. The study begins by providing a brief overview of the GST system in India, highlighting its significance in unifying the country's tax structure and facilitating a seamless flow of goods and services across state borders. It then explores the key amendments made to the GST framework, including changes in tax rates, procedural simplifications, and the introduction of new concepts like e-invoicing and the e-way bill system. Special attention is given to the major reform - the shift from the multi-tiered tax structure to a simpler two-tiered structure, with the implementation of the GST Compensation Cess. The impact of these amendments on various sectors of the Indian economy is rigorously analyzed. The study assesses how changes in tax rates have affected consumer behaviour, inflation, and demand for goods and services. It also investigates the compliance burden on businesses, both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and evaluates the ease of doing business in the post-amendment GST era. Furthermore, the study examines the role of technology in streamlining GST compliance, with a focus on the success and challenges of e-invoicing and the e-way bill system. The study also scrutinizes the fiscal implications of these amendments, with a focus on revenue collections, the compensation mechanism for states, and the overall impact on the government's finances. Additionally, it investigates the extent to which GST amendments have contributed to reducing tax evasion and enhancing transparency in the tax system.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11625
Abstract: The worldwide reach and density of information have also raised the risk of integrity and confidentiality. Security lapses are become far too common. Thus, the enhancement of network security is emphasized these days. Network protection lets in unintentional interference of some kind and helps to prevent it. It is made up of network intrusion detection software that follows the network. To trace traffic within the network from source to destination apps, NIDS is strategically placed within the network. The device would efficiently filter all incoming and outgoing traffic, but this would lead to congestion, which would slow down the system's speed as a whole. Lastly, these techniques incorporate machine learning algorithms that provide dependable performance and flexibility for the gadget. Machine learning techniques can be used to identify patterns in the auditing data that indicate the difference between malicious and normal activity. This is because intrusion activities leave evidence behind.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11627
Abstract: The objective of the present investigation was to develop a method for a fast and facile synthesis of 4-(Heteroaryl)methylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones (4) and their corresponding dehydroamino acids (5), their ethyl and methyl esters (6, 7) and anilides (8) by solvolysis and aminolysis through 1,5-bond cleavage of 2-oxazolin- 5-ones (4) which are used as synthons. An alternative modification for the fast and convenient synthesis of 4-(Heteroaryl)methylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin - 5-ones (4) where heteroaryl groups are furan (4a), pyrrole (4b) and thiophene (4c) moieties, is developed. They are the unsaturated azlactones. The conversion of α-N-benzoylglycine or hippuric acid (1) to unstable 2-phenyl-2- oxazolin-5-one (2) was carried out by using cyclising agents namely either Benzene sulphonyl chloride or p-Toluene sulphonyl chloride or Ethyl chloroformate in dry benzene in the presence of triethylamine as base at room temperature, which declined the risk of high temperature as well. After condensation of 2-Formyl heteroarenes namely 2-Formylfuran (3a), 2-Formylpyrrole (3b) and 2-Formylthiophene (3c) with 2-phenyl-2- oxazolin-5-one (2), the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The removed solvent can be reused. These unsaturated azlactones i.e. 4-(Heteroaryl)methylene-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-ones (4) can be isolated by trituration with chilled ethanol and can also be recrystallised with ethanol. Otherwise, the resultant unsaturated azlactones 4a, 4b and 4c respectively were subjected to hydrolysis, ethanolysis, methanolysis (where ethanolysis and methanolysis are commonly called alcoholysis) and aminolysis directly in the same flask to obtain 2-Benzoyl amino-3-heteroarylprop-2-enoic acids (i.e. dehydroamino acids) (5), their esters namely Ethyl/ Methyl-2-Benzoylamino-3-heteroarylprop-2-enoates (6, 7) and anilides namely N-Phenyl-2-Benzoylamino-3-heteroarylprop-2-enamides (8) respectively using the view of Green Chemistry methodology.

Abstract: Hammering is the most widely used industrial as well as construction activity. Hammering or screws, metal sheets, parts etc requires a lot of time and effort. So here we propose an automated hammering system that allows for fully automatic hammering process. This allows for accurate, fast and automated hammering wherever and whenever needed using a 12V battery. The person just needs to insert workpiece and start the hammering machine. This machine can be used for automatic hammering work as and when needed. We here use a dc motor in order to move the hammer. The DC motor consists of a pulley attached to it which is connected to a larger pulley for efficient power transfer and to increase torque. This large pulley is connected to a shaft that has a connecting rod attached to it. This rod is used to achieve lateral motion from the spinning shaft. We now connect the other end of hammer to this connecting rod through a mid-swinging arrangement in order to achieve desired hammer motion with enough torque. We now use a suitable bed where workpiece can be placed. In the present scenario due to the technologies advancement there are lots of demands of the products in the market for production of many components. This invention is relates to fabricate a simple power hammer machine having low cost, compact, easy to operate, and having less power requirement for a forging operation performed by blacksmiths. More particularly this invention is relates use of power hammer by small scale industries or workshops having less force requirement in forging than the other hammer machines available in the market to produce or manufacture a small parts like knives, medical equipment's, sockets, hooks, clips, dental equipment's, rings, manifolds, couplings, etc.

Abstract: This study examines the influence of ceramic coatings on aluminum alloy that has been reinforced with boron carbide and tungsten carbide, using the plasma spray technique. The samples were produced by sand casting, with 100% aluminum 7475 alloy used for certain samples, and metal matrix composites consisting of 94% aluminum 7475, 3% boron carbide, and 3% tungsten carbide used for others. Following that, zirconia coatings were administered utilizing the plasma spray technique. The study evaluated the Brinell hardness, corrosion behavior by salt spray testing, wear resistance using a pin-on device, and microstructural parameters of the three sample combinations. The results demonstrate that the zirconia-coated samples had increased hardness and greater resistance to corrosion in comparison to the untreated samples. The microstructural study showed a consistently small-grained structure in the samples with a metal matrix coated with zirconia. This indicates that the samples had superior heat barrier capabilities. The compact grain structure resulted in enhanced hardness and consequent resistance to wear in the coated specimens. This study highlights the effectiveness of ceramic coatings, specifically zirconia, in improving the mechanical and corrosion properties of aluminum alloys that are strengthened with boron carbide and tungsten carbide. Therefore, these coatings have considerable potential for various industrial applications.

Abstract: Treatment is complicated by the laborious and prone to error nature of modern MRI analysis for brain tumour detection. Using several MRI datasets, we suggest a technique that combines deep learning, conventional classifiers, and CNNs. Algorithms for activation and SVM validation are used. Our CNN surpassed prior records with an accuracy of 99.74% when it was implemented in Python using TensorFlow and Keras. With this automated method, brain tumour diagnosis should be greatly improved, allowing patients' treatment choices to be made more quickly.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11644
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence has far-reaching ethical and societal ramifications that touch many aspects of society. The power of AI to make decisions on its own raises ethical concerns that could affect justice and accountability. As AI systems gather and examine enormous volumes of personal data, privacy concerns surface. These concerns center on issues related to data security, monitoring, and consent. Furthermore, biases present in training data may be reinforced by AI algorithms, producing unfair results in the hiring, lending, and law enforcement sectors. AI poses a social danger to job displacement as automation supplants human labor in various areas, hence requiring economic restructuring and retraining. The gap between those who profit from technology developments and those left behind gets wider as a result of the unequal distribution of AI benefits, which exacerbates already-existing socioeconomic imbalances. Furthermore, the transparency required is hampered by the opaqueness of AI decision-making processes. The gap between those who profit from technology developments and those left behind gets wider as a result of the unequal distribution of AI benefits, which exacerbates already-existing socioeconomic imbalances. Furthermore, the lack of transparency in AI decision-making processes undermines confidence in vital applications like criminal justice and healthcare. This will guarantee that AI is developed and used ethically, enhancing social well-being without compromising core values and rights. Promoting the ethical use of AI while minimizing its negative societal effects requires public dialogue and interdisciplinary cooperation.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11658
Abstract: The way a multi-story building behaves during intense seismic activity is determined by its structural design. One of the main reasons for failure during earthquakes is recognised to be irregular configuration, either in plan or in elevation. Therefore, irregular structures are a cause for concern, particularly those found in high seismic zones. The present study addresses the seismic response of reinforced concrete structures with regular and irregular configurations. A G+12-storey building with a regular frame and an irregular frame with various irregularities is designed and they are analyzed and compared. The study's investigation of the seismic performance of Arunachal Pradesh, India, has been the main emphasis. The building is designed as per IS 456: 2000 and IS 1893(Part I): 2016. Seismic evaluation is carried out in finite element-based software ETABS. Equivalent Static Analysis and Response Spectrum Analysis are used for seismic analysis of the building where the results of Storey displacement, Storey drift, Storey stiffness, Modes, and Base shear will be compared and evaluated. Results show that the vertical geometric irregularity model is more efficient than the other models and the re-entrant corner irregularity model is the least stable.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11659
Abstract: The main objective of this study is to find out the structural performance of a (G+10) building between conventional, shear wall, and flag walls in North East India (Meghalaya). As per IS 1893:2016, the building is located in Zone V. The ETABS software is used for seismic analysis, focusing on the response spectrum. The models are compared based on natural period, base shear, storey drift, stiffness, and lateral displacement in the X and Y directions. This study compared a 10-storey building with different wall types and found that flag walls improve performance by reducing vibration time by 50%, base shear by 2%, storey drift (14% along the X-direction and 41% along the Y-direction), storey displacement (44% along the X-direction and 54% along the Y-direction), and stiffness (98% along the X-axis and 99% along the Y-axis). Using a central shear wall and flag walls on the 3rd, 7th, and top floors (model M19 SW+FW) saves space and performs better than conventional systems, making the structure stronger and more stable during earthquakes. Model M19 SW+FW gives a good result compared to 22 models.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11660
Abstract: In recent advancements in material science, there is a trend toward replacing existing single-phase materials with composites for enhanced control over properties. This study focuses on developing a reinforced composite using Nano Nickel Oxide(n-NiO) within an epoxy resin matrix to enhance its mechanical properties. The aim is to investigate how the matrix material affects the density, hardness of the developed composites. Composites were fabricated using a stirred dispersion with resin casting, adhering to ASTM standards for specimen preparation and testing. Tests were conducted at room temperature and under Cured conditions. Results indicate that incorporating n-NiO significantly improves the mechanical properties of epoxy resin. Magnetic stirring facilitated the homogeneous distribution of n-NiO within the epoxy matrix, followed by curing at ambient temperature. For comparative analysis, some composites underwent additional thermal curing at 80°C for 40 minutes. The impact of varying n-NiO concentrations (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%) on the composite's properties was assessed. The curing process employed K6 hardener in a weight ratio of 1:10. Mechanical attributes such as Density, Hardness were evaluated. The composite with 1.5% n-NiO exhibited optimal enhancement in all measured properties compared to neat epoxy resin. This study concludes that the inclusion of n-NiO significantly augments the mechanical performance of the epoxy-based composite material.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11668
Abstract: Solar energy is a promising renewable resource with vast potential for sustainable power generation. To harness this energy efficiently, solar tracking systems play a pivotal role in optimizing the alignment of solar panels with the sun's position. In this study, we propose an automatic solar tracking system based on light sensing using Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) and control logic implemented through comparators and motor drivers. The system employs a reference voltage generated by a voltage divider circuit comprising a potentiometer and resistor combination to set thresholds for sunlight intensity. When the voltage from the LDRs exceeds the reference voltage, indicating sufficient sunlight, the system initiates actions such as adjusting the position of a solar panel to maximize energy capture. The project's hardware components, including LDRs, comparators (LM358), motor drivers (L293D), and voltage regulators, are integrated to create a robust and efficient solar tracking solution. Through experimental validation and performance analysis, our system demonstrates enhanced energy harvesting capabilities compared to static solar panel installations. The proposed automatic solar tracking system offers a cost-effective and sustainable approach to optimizing solar energy utilization, with potential applications in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

“PERFORMANCE-BASED SEISMIC DESIGN FOR G+30 BUILDING WITH MANSORY INFILL WALLS” (IN GUWAHATI CITY)
Mr. H. Wijonbou Chawang and Ms. Raisa Tamsin Hussain
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11673
Abstract: This study compares the Response Spectrum approach and Equivalent static methods with a performance-based seismic design for G+ 30. It was discovered that the building's story stiffness, story displacement, story shear, and story drift were all superior to those of the Response spectrum technique or Equivalent static approach, where the response spectrum, equivalent static, and performance basis design maximum narrative drifts were found to be 0.0009113, 0.000383, and 0.00113, respectively. Furthermore, performance-based design has been found to have the lowest building displacement value-28.4 mm on the top floor-when it comes to story displacement. In the performance comparison, the building that was found to have the highest stiffness was building number 58010171KN/m, building number 19517666KN/m for ESM, and building number 37269757KN/m for RSM. The greatest measured value for the tale shear is 18716.99KN, the ESM is 9985.45, and the response spectrum is 14030.019. They satisfy the ASCE 7-16 code and IS 1893 Pt-1 2016 acceptance standards. The findings demonstrated the superior efficiency of performance-based seismic design over RSM and ESM. The ASCE-7,16 Code's acceptance criteria for the hinge response in the beam, column, and shear wall have been seen to be met by the tabulated value, which is less than the IO level that is completely operational and fulfils the criterion value.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11674
Abstract: The primary market of securities and shares play a vital role in the development of an economy. The IPOs act as a platform for new capital inflows for the start-up organizations to enable the growth of an economy. Secondly, they prove to be a systematic mechanism that helps the owners to realize returns for their investments and efforts. The IPOs have been a key source of financing for a longer time, especially in corporate terms. Nevertheless, there have been puzzling scenarios around the pricing of the IPO and it had led to pervasive efficiency in the market. . There have been multiple studies in the market around this premise that examines the IPO's performance. There has been specific focus on the behaviour of the stock in the initial days of listing, short run and long run aftermarket performance of the IPO. This paper is an attempt to summarise the existing research of aftermarket performance of IPOs.

A Study on Risk Assessment of Debt Funds in Mutual Fund Investments
Y. Bhavya Sri, Jakku Shravani
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2024.11676
Abstract: This study evaluates the risk profile of debt funds within mutual fund investment strategies, focusing on their market, credit, interest rate, and liquidity risks. Debt funds, while generally considered safer than equity funds, are subject to a complex array of risks that can significantly impact investor returns. The assessment explores the underlying instruments held by debt funds, such as government securities, corporate bonds, and money market instruments, and analyzes how fluctuations in macroeconomic indicators particularly interest rates and credit ratings affect fund performance. Case studies of recent debt fund defaults and regulatory interventions (such as those by SEBI in India) are used to illustrate systemic vulnerabilities. The paper also highlights the importance of portfolio duration, credit quality, and fund manager strategies in mitigating risks. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive risk profiling by investors and robust regulatory oversight to ensure transparency and protect investor interests in debt-oriented mutual fund products
